The National Institutes of Health SBIR/STTR program has $1B available this year! This workshop is for anyone interested in learning what goes into a winning SBIR/STTR grant proposal for the National Institutes of Health. Particularly ideal for those applying for the Jan. 5, 2019 or April 5, 2019 NIH SBIR/STTR deadlines! Learn how the SBIR/STTR programs work, how to plan your approach, and follow a step-by-step process to writing a compelling NIH SBIR/STTR proposal. Second day will focus primarily on commercialization plan development for NIH SBIR/STTR.
Special presentations on Nov. 7 (day 2) include tips from NIH on how to Prepare your AIMS section for NIH SBIR/STTR and an overview of programs from NIH (presented by Amir Rahbar, NCI SBIR Program Director). Also, a presentation on the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research will discuss their programs, facilities, and collaboration opportunities (presented by Vladimir Popov).
Virginia based first time NIH SBIR/STTR applicants who attend this workshop are eligible to apply for a special "Phase 0 Support Grant" that may provide a small grant to help pay for a professional SBIR Consultant!
