Newest tenant of the Park provides
in-home living assistance
Richmond, Va. - Homewatch CareGivers, a national provider
of in-home living assistance, has opened an office at the
Virginia BioTechnology Research Park to provide customized
professional services for seniors, and others who are rehabilitating,
in the city of Richmond and the counties of Hanover, Henrico
and Chesterfield.
“Statistics show that seniors who remain in their
own homes have increased lifespan due to the comfort, confidence
and peace of mind it affords them,” said Angel Carter,
president of Homewatch CareGivers of Richmond. “Our
company is committed to preserving the independence, dignity
and freedom of individuals who require nonmedical care and
want to stay in their home.”
Homewatch CareGivers provides qualified, trained caregivers
for hourly (two-hour minimum), partial day, overnight and
24-hour assistance on a regular schedule as needed. The company
offers various personal care and companion care services
including meal preparation (including special diets); medication
reminding; transferring; light housekeeping; laundering clothes;
changing linens and beds; grocery shopping and running errands;
assisting with wheelchairs; walkers and other equipment;
accompanying clients to appointments or events; and providing
genuine companionship.

the 85-plus age group, a population that will double to 6.7

The company joins more than 50 other biosciences companies,
research institutes affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University,
major state and national medical laboratories, and nonprofit
organizations located at the Virginia BioTechnology Research
Park.
