Park tenants among finalists for local creativity award
Richmond, VA – Virginia BioTechnology Research Park
announced today that two of its tenant companies, Intelliject
and Bill Police, have been named as finalists for the Virginia
Museum of Fine Arts’ first Creativity in Business Award.
Michael Brand, director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
explained that the award was created to celebrate the creative
energy for new products, services and culture in Central
Virginia. “We want to recognize the extraordinary creative
talent in our business community and create a bridge between
this community and the rich resources of VMFA,” said
Brand.
The VMFA Business Council announced the 26 finalists, which
were selected from a nominated pool of 55 companies at last
night’s ceremony held in the VMFA marble hall.
Virginia BioTechnology Research Park tenants that were among
the finalists included:
-
Intelliject, LLC, a medical device company that
develops cutting-edge auto-injector drug delivery technologies;
and,
-
Bill Police, LLC, a wireless bill auditing firm that
helps businesses reduce and manage their wireless cost.
“We are extremely excited to be a finalist for this
award,” said
Evan Edwards, vice president of product development for Intelliject. “It’s
a great example of how VMFA offers a fresh perspective, which
in turn can help to stimulate creative thinking that can
be applied in the workplace.”
The winners will be announced on May 5 during VMFA's Muse
Awards Un-Gala.
