Intelliject selected for top creativity award
Richmond, VA - Virginia BioTechnology Research Park is pleased to announce that tenant company Intelliject, LLC, was chosen for the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts' top award for creativity in business.
Out of 26 finalists, who were selected from a nominated pool of 55 companies, Intelliject brought home the Best in Show award at the VMFA's first Creativity in Business Awards Gala. The spiral-shaped trophy, designed by Cushing Manufacturing and inspired by the chambered nautilus, was designed to evoke the natural evolution of creativity in nature.
"This award was developed to celebrate the creative energy for new products, services and culture in Central Virginia," said Michael Brand, Ph.D., director of the VMFA. "We wanted to recognize Intelliject for the extraordinary imagination and vision they have expressed in their product-development efforts, as well as their interest in connecting the local business community with the rich resources of VMFA."
Intelliject, located in the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park incubator facility, develops cutting-edge auto-injector drug-delivery technologies for the biomedical industry. The company's mission is to produce drug-delivery systems that are the most technologically advanced and innovative in the medical field and are specifically designed to meet the needs of each customer.
"We are extremely excited to be selected for this award," said Evan Edwards, vice president of product development for Intelliject. "The creativity in business award is a great example of the VMFA's ability to stimulate creative thinking that can result in the development of innovative products in the workplace."
