BioTrack president speaks at VBDC luncheon

RICHMOND, Va. – Mark Licata, president of BioTrack,
LLC, spoke to a group of entrepreneurs, scientists and industry affiliates
about Federal Drug Administration/reimbursement considerations for medical
device companies at November’s “Brown Bag” luncheon.
The luncheon, organized by the Virginia Biosciences Development
Center, also was sponsored by BioTrack.
About VBDC
The VBDC, located at the Virginia BioTechnology Research
Park, provides business assistance to start-up companies
located in the Park’s incubator facility. In less than three years,
the VBDC has emerged as a major contributor to the growth of early stage
life science
technology businesses in the Richmond area. VBDC staff have
counseled more than 23 start-ups and helped to launch eight of them.
Since its
inception, VBDC has secured cash and/or in-kind commitments,
grants and contracts exceeding $750,000 for the benefit of growing the
life sciences
industry in the region.
