San Francisco, Calif. – The Virginia BioTechnology
Research Park joined more than 16,900 scientists, entrepreneurs,
economic developers and industry professionals from around
the world at the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s
2004 Annual International Convention held at the Moscone Center
in San Francisco, Calif. The Park partnered with the Greater
Richmond Partnership and the counties of Henrico, Hanover
and Chesterfield in displaying an exhibit and reinforcing
the brand of “Greater Richmond, Virginia: The New East
Coast Center for Bioscience.” The conference attracted
representatives from 61 countries, 49 U.S. states (plus the
