Richmond, Va. – Many early stage biotechnology companies
developing innovative technologies struggle to bridge the
financial gap between the research lab and the marketplace.
Scott B. Townsend, Esq. of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and
Dorr, LLP, educated a group of local entrepreneurs, scientists
and industry affiliates on venture capital and other alternative
sources of funding at January’s “Brown Bag”
luncheon. The luncheon was organized by the Virginia Biosciences
Development Center and sponsored by Wilmer Cutler Pickering
Hale and Dorr, LLP.
