International Baccalaureate Students tour the Park

Richmond, Va. – More than 70 International Baccalaureate
(IB) high school students from Henrico County visited the
Virginia BioTechnology Research Park to evaluate career opportunities
in the life sciences. The International Baccalaureate (IB)
Diploma Program is a rigorous pre-university course of studies
that is open to all students in Henrico County. It is an international
program with an international curriculum, meaning all students
worldwide follow the same curriculum, and the teachers follow
a stringent assessment procedure that also conforms worldwide.
During their visit, students heard from Dan Grinnan, forensic
scientist manager at the Virginia Division of Forensic Science,
and toured the United Network for Organ Sharing headquarters.
