Even in the current economy, the biotechnology industry continues to grow and evolve. To evaluate the current trends, Rene Salas of Ernst & Young Life Sciences presented the 2003 Global Biotechnology Report, one of the local industry's most anticipated reports, to entrepreneurs, scientists and industry affiliates who attended July's "Brown Bag" luncheon. The luncheon, organized by the Virginia Biosciences Development Center, was sponsored Ernst & Young.
