Carter Scott, McGuireWoods, LLP

Whether you choose to license your idea to a larger firm or create a new business based on the intellectual property, there are many steps that must be followed before a product reaches the market. McGuireWoods attorneys Carter Scott, Janet Peyton and Richard Franson, Ph.D., director of the VCU Office of Technology Transfer, explained the process to scientists and entrepreneurs at the June “Brown Bag” luncheon organized by the Virginia Biosciences Development Center. The monthly luncheons are held at the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park. McGuireWoods, LLP, sponsored the June luncheon.
