The Virginia BioTechnology Research Park at Meadowville
The Virginia BioTechnology Research Park and officials from nearby Chesterfield County announced plans in January 2001 for the joint development and marketing of a satellite park for biosciences companies on 325 acres near the banks of the James River. The site, which is part of the 1,600-acre Meadowville Technology Park, has capacity for approximately two million square feet of offices, laboratories and manufacturing facilities, and is appropriate for larger biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies that cannot be served adequately on the BioTech Park’s downtown campus.
