Crowdfunding in the Commonwealth
A discussion with Delegate Glenn Davis about the funding tool for startups
Join Delegate Glenn Davis, Member of the Virginia House of Delegates, as he discusses crowdfunding and how a business owner can use this tool in Virginia.
He co-patroned HB1360 in 2015 and HB 1227 in 2016, creating exemptions from the Securities Act for Virginia intrastate crowdfunding. This makes it easier for Virginians to support small businesses and entrepreneurs through crowdfunding campaigns.
Delegate Davis started his first business in a one-bedroom apartment and grew it into an award-winning telecom provider. Its success allowed Glenn to follow his passion for public service, first as a member of the Virginia Beach City Council, and now as a member of the House of Delegates.
