The Virginia BioTechnology Research Park provides tenant companies with services that are tailored to their specific needs. The Park specializes in assisting seed and early-stage companies through the Virginia Biosciences Development Center and later-stage ventures through the Virginia Biosciences Commercialization Center.
Each of these centers can launch successful bioscience companies and provide hands-on business assistance, access to legal counsel and other professional service partners, as well as administrative support and access to local universities.
The VBCC also provides considerable commercialization expertise in bringing companies from seed stage through commercialization to M&A or IPO. On-site staff can develop a tailored commercialization strategy including reimbursements, market validation through national clinical leadership, clinical product launch and strategic partnerships with industry leaders.
Bioscience companies located at the Park may also benefit from the interaction within the Park’s scientific community. Consisting of research institutes of Virginia Commonwealth University, state and federal laboratories, multinational pharmaceutical and chemical companies and more than a dozen thriving early to midstage ventures, the Park has become a nationally recognized scientific cluster.
